Many people come to therapists seeking someone to 'fix' their problems, 'relieve' their stressors or 'heal' their personal pain and traumas. Our purpose is to work with you to awaken the strength already residing inside of you, and to make you conscious of it, so that you may be your own cure.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Western Kentucky University and my Master’s Degree in counseling From Adler University with a specialization in Sports and Health Psychology. I’m also certified as a strength coach. I navigate these two fields through the lens of trauma-informed weightlifting and personal training. My Vision is to help bridge the gap between and improve the relationships we have with our physical and mental selves while also showing that various types of physical activity, especially with a level of structure can positively impact our mental health. Most of my experience relates to adolescents and young adults, especially young men.
My job is not to tell you what to do, but to walk with you on your journey, making you aware of and exploring things that may hinder your success.I tailor each treatment to meet your individual needs while consciously considering your unique cultural background. Personal identity also plays a significant role in our lives and sometimes affects mental health. I am trauma-informed and feel that past experiences heavily impact how we navigate the world currently. Essentially, I help people face their fears. Together we will collaborate on goals.
